The North Face Trail Lite 2 Tent

This tent has revolutionized our backpacking game. We could probably squeeze four of us in a three person tent right now while our kids are 7 & 9, but instead we chose to go very fancy and get two, two-person tents that we can use as they get bigger. Also, we sleep way better this way and sometimes we even get a "parents-only" tent. :). This tent is light, packable, and very easy to set up. It's super waterproof and we've had it through snow, heavy rain and lightning storms and have stayed totally dry and cozy. The vestibule is perfect for making a hot beverage outside the tent while staying dry within.
